The Mathematical Crusade 2014

The symposium includes several competitions for students from Classes VIII to XII. These competitions will provide participants with an excellent opportunity to showcase and challenge their mathematical abilities. The symposium will also serve as a meeting ground for likeminded mathematics enthusiasts.

The event was held on December 20, 2014.
Delhi Public School R.K. Puram
emerged as the overall winners. Being the host school, the prize was passed on to Delhi Public School Dwarka.

This is a team event, which will consist of two rounds, viz. a preliminary round and a final round. The Quiz will test the participants’ knowledge of various fields of mathematics and trivia as well as their logic and problem solving skills. Six teams will qualify for the on-stage final round.

Problem Solving

Problem Solving event is a platform for contestants to showcase their problem solving ability in Mathematics.

Surprise Event

Elgibility: Classes 9 to 12

The details of the surprise event will be disclosed on the day of the event.

It will test the contestants’ Mathematical trivia along with their mathematical problem solving skills.

Model Making

Consolation: Gyan Bharti Saket

Elgibility: Classes 8 to 10
Participants: 2
Duration: 1 hour

Participants will make a mathematical model based on any mathematical concept. They should bring the required material for making the model on the spot. Models will be judged on the following criteria:

1. Creativity and Innovativeness
2. Cost Effectiveness
3. Utility and overall presentation


Only the students of host school will put up the exhibition.


General Guidelines for all Participants

A school may send a maximum of 8 participants from classes VIII to XII.

No student may participate in more than one event.

Schools must email a scanned copy of the registration form at crusade@dpsrkp.net by 15th December 2014. This can be done by email along with online registration at http://crusade.matsoc.in/register.

All participants must report at 08:00 A.M. for registration, along with their teacher in-charge.

Participants must be present in school uniform.

The schedule and the rules are subject to change without notification till the day of the event.

Anything inappropriate in any of the events will lead to disqualification of the team.

The decision of the organizers and judges shall be final and

It is mandatory for all the participating schools to bring their registration form with the school stamp and signed by the Principal. This form is to be submitted at the registration desk on the day of the event.
